Built in pre-filter
The Austin Air Healthmate has a built in pre-filter which surrounds the 3-stage filter. This significantly extends the life of the 3-stage filter! Just periodically vacuum the outside of the machine to clear away dust. The filter will last for five years before it needs replacement.
